Get Active

Being active doesn’t need to be a chore, it can be a fun experience! Physical activity doesn’t need to be strict or elaborate, start small and increase as tolerated. Parents can help their children get or stay active by limiting screen time to no more than 2 hours per day and encouraging them to interact with others. A few easy example of exercise could be riding a bike, going for a family walk, playing ball in the park, or dancing to music at home. Click on the links and images below for examples of exercises you can do with your child.

Children and adolescents should do 60 MINUTES or more of physical activity each day.
